In first grade, our writing prompt was all about recess! Students finished the sentence “I think recess is…” and then we headed outside to write using our senses—what we see, hear, smell, and feel on the playground.

Parents are invited to join us Friday, October 31st at 1:00 PM in the new gym for our Elementary Costume Parade!
Students are welcome to wear their costumes all day — just remember we’ll still have lunch, recess, and party snacks/drinks, so please keep costumes comfortable and easy to move in.
Students will start getting into their full costumes at 12:30 PM. If your child needs a little help getting ready, parents may arrive at that time to assist.
After the parade, we’ll head over to the old gym for our Halloween Party!
If you plan to sign your child out early, please check in directly with your child’s teacher after the parade.
