❤️🤍💙Veterans Day Program at North Mercer❤️🤍💙
We invite all of our veterans and community members to join us as we honor and celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️🤍💙
📅 Tuesday, November 11th
🕚 11:00 AM
📍 North Mercer School
Veterans are warmly invited to stay for lunch following the program as a small token of our appreciation.
Thank you to all who have served — we look forward to celebrating you! ❤️🤍💙

They had great discussions about what their colors mean, what their flags stand for, and why honoring our veterans is so important. We are so proud of their thoughtful hearts and creativity! ❤️💙

Our Christmas Concert & Art Exhibit will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 6:00 PM in the New Gym!
Come enjoy a festive evening filled with beautiful student artwork and holiday music sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! ❤️💚

There will be no school this Friday(11/7) due to our Staff Professional Development Day.
Enjoy the long weekend, Cardinals — you’ve earned it! 🏫✨

Parents are invited to join us Friday, October 31st at 1:00 PM in the new gym for our Elementary Costume Parade!
Students are welcome to wear their costumes all day — just remember we’ll still have lunch, recess, and party snacks/drinks, so please keep costumes comfortable and easy to move in.
Students will start getting into their full costumes at 12:30 PM. If your child needs a little help getting ready, parents may arrive at that time to assist.
After the parade, we’ll head over to the old gym for our Halloween Party!
If you plan to sign your child out early, please check in directly with your child’s teacher after the parade.
We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes and have a spooktacular afternoon together! 🧙♀️🕸️🍬

At North Mercer, we know that a nutritious breakfast sets the tone for a great day of learning! 💪
Students can enjoy a healthy, balanced breakfast every morning from 7:45–8:05 AM in the cafeteria. It’s the perfect way to fuel up, focus, and be ready to learn! 🌞
Eat well and start your day strong! ❤️ #NorthMercerCardinals #HealthyStart #FuelForLearning

We’re so proud of their hard work and positive attitudes — they really "maize" us proud every day! 🌟
A big THANK YOU to our parents for partnering with us — your support in getting students to school and encouraging their academics helps them grow and thrive. 🌾💛
It was definitely a “corn-tastic” way to celebrate success! 🌽👏

🌟 We’re so thankful for our custodians! 🌟
Last week was National Custodian Day, and we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible members of our custodial team! 🧹✨
They work hard every single day to keep our classrooms clean, our hallways safe, and our school looking its best. Their dedication behind the scenes makes a huge difference for our students, staff, and community — and we couldn’t do it without them! 💪❤️
Our 5th grade class helped us celebrate by making a special card for each of our custodians. Even though we only got a picture below with Mrs. Jamie, we are so thankful for Richard and Martin too!
Thank you all for everything you do to keep North Mercer shining! 🙌🐾

Come out and cheer them on! ❤️🖤

We are proud to announce the arrival of our first brand-new bus since moving to a district-owned fleet in 2017! 🎉
A huge thank you goes out to the North Mercer Board of Education, Wade Hall, Rick Kreutz, Midwest Bus Sales, and our tax-paying citizens for making this possible. Student safety is always our top priority, and with Thomas’ reputation for safety, service, and reliability, staying with diesel power was an easy choice.
Transportation Director Kerri Jincks had the honor of handing the keys of the new 2026 Thomas C-2 to one of our outstanding professional drivers, Max Siemer, who will be driving it on Route #3. 🚦
👏 We’re grateful for our Transportation Department, our professional drivers, and the continued support of our school community. This new bus represents another step forward in keeping our students safe every day!
