Our first graders are lighting up their reading skills! 💡📚 They’re working hard with Mrs. Eakes by using their light-up stretchers to slow down, hear each sound, and stretch out words. Look at them shine! 🌟
Our 5th graders are hard at work creating pumpkin art with watercolors! 🎃🎨 We love seeing their creativity shine as they experiment with color and bring each pumpkin to life. Take a look at their works in progress! Thank you, Mrs. Bain, for guiding our young artists at North Mercer!
🔎🌎 Calling all Resource Detectives! 🌎🔎
Our 4th graders have been working hard to learn all about capital, natural, and human resources, along with the difference between renewable and nonrenewable resources!
After putting their detective skills to the test, every student mastered the challenge and officially earned their Resource Detective badge! 🕵️♀️🕵️♂️🏅
We are so proud of these young detectives and all the hard work they’ve put into learning how resources help our communities and our world! 🌱🌎👏

📚❤️ The school year is underway, but we wanted to take a moment to make sure our North Mercer community knows about a few changes happening inside our building this year!
These faces are certainly not new to North Mercer, but they are taking on some new roles this year—and we are incredibly thankful for their willingness to grow, adapt, and continue serving our students! ❤️🖤
🏀 Mr. Waterbury is still teaching a little math each day, but the majority of his day will now be spent in PE! We are excited to see him bring his energy and love of movement to our students.
📖 Mrs. Perkins has moved from our Elementary Title I classroom to the 3rd floor as our JH/HS English Language Arts teacher! We are so excited to have her bringing her experience and passion for reading and writing to our older students.
📐 Mrs. Fisher is staying right where she belongs in PK, but she has also taken on teaching Geometry this year! Talk about keeping busy! 😊
We are so fortunate to have teachers who are willing to step into new roles and do whatever it takes to support our students. Thank you, Mr. Waterbury, Mrs. Perkins, and Mrs. Fisher, for everything you do for North Mercer!
Same incredible teachers. New roles. Still Better Than Yesterday. ❤️🖤
